Stephanie Simmon

Secretary, Board of Directors

Stephanie was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, and has been deeply rooted in the life of the Church since childhood. In 2006, she and her husband helped plant an inner-city church in Wichita, where she served in leadership for the next 18 years. Today, she brings her compassion and servant-hearted leadership to Ambassadors of Dignity as Board Secretary—combining her administrative gifts with her passion for helping others.

For over two decades, Stephanie has dedicated herself to serving children and families in her community. She spent 19 years as a parent educator with the Parents as Teachers program in the Maize School District, supporting families during critical early years. Over the past six years, she and her husband have opened their home as foster parents to more than 150 children—offering safety, love, and stability during some of the most vulnerable moments of their young lives.

Stephanie’s heart for the marginalized extends beyond Wichita. Through her work with Acts of Mercy International, she has responded to crises around the world: aiding Syrian refugees in Greece, supporting women and children fleeing war in Ukraine, serving earthquake survivors in Antakya, Turkey, and assisting with wildfire recovery efforts in Los Angeles.

At home, Stephanie and her husband Steve are the proud parents of six daughters—ranging in age from 26 to 4—and they have two sons-in-law. They are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first grandchild in November 2025. Their family loves hiking, swimming, boating, and sharing game nights together. Currently, Stephanie is pursuing her Master’s degree in Elementary Education through Kansas State University, equipping herself to teach and inspire students in increasingly diverse classrooms.
